Passage: Psalm. 91: 1 – 10

Text: Psalm 91:1

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

A shadow is a shade created by the reflection of an object from sunlight (or any brightness as such)

In this case the object is the Almighty himself who creates the shadow.

Isaiah 66:1

Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? And where is the place of my rest?

How big is this shadows then? The entire heaven and earth must be able to find space to abide under such shadow.

A shadow is also a manifestation of something. It is the evidence that something real is present, e.g. the shadow of death represents the presence of death.

To abide means to dwell permanently. Therefore God’s will is for you to dwell permanently under the manifestation of His presence.

If you are under the shadow of the Almighty, it means you don’t have a shadow to cast. You indeed have a shadow; but God’s shadow has swallowed your own.

Therefore, if your life is casting the shadow of death, the shadow of the Almighty will swallow it. If your life is casting a shadow of darkness, (poverty, failure, wickedness, stagnancy), the shadow of the Almighty will swallow them all.

Because a shadow is a shade, it is also the place of protection from the heat of the day, and the intensity of the sunshine. In Daniel 4:12, under the tree of Nebuchadnezzer’s might, the beasts of the fields had shadows under it. There can be shadows inside shadows.

Enemies cannot see you when you are hiding inside the shadows of God.

From today, you shall receive divine protection from the heat of your challenges.

You shall receive protection from the intensity of satanic attacks.

Because shadow is a shade, it is also a place of rest.

From today, God’s shadow shall give your rest.

Matt. 11:28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Return to God today, way-faring man. God wants to give you rest.

(1). It is well 2ce, with my soul2ce,it is well 2ce with my soul.

(2.) God will make a way, where there seems to be no way. He walks in ways we cannot see; he will make a way for me. He will be my guide, hold me closely to his side, with love and strength for each new day; (he will make a way) 2ce.

Ps. 59:1Be merciful unto me O Lord, because my soul shall take refuge in the shadow of thy wings.

  1. Father, because of the shadow of thy wings, have mercy on me.

Hosea 14:7They that dwell under His shadow shall return; they shall be revived as the grain and blossom as the vine.

  1. Father, under your shadow, let me experience revival. Revive me, O Lord, and refresh me

Amos 5: 8The Almighty turns the shadow of death into the morning (into a brand new day)

  1. Father, turn my shadows of pain into joy; turn my darkness into a brand new day

Closing Prayer:

Father, your shadow is mighty, and big enough to take care of all, thank you.

From today, His shadow will provide adequate refuge for you in Jesus name.

You will experience revival. In every journey of life, you willreturn safely. You will blossom as the river. Your shadows of death shall be turned into a brand new day.

God bless you.
